CT Corpís Accord with Accor Hotel

CT Corporation and AccorHotels Sign Partnership to Develop 30 Hotels in Indonesia

(11/12/2017) The Indonesia CT Corporation and the AccorHotel Group have entered into a cooperative agreement to build 30 hotels across Indonesia.

Detik.com reports that the CEO of CT Corporation, Chairal Tanjung, and the COO of AccorHotels for Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, Garth Simmons, signed a strategic partnership agreement at the Fairmont Hotel in Jakarta on Thursday, November 9, 2017. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was witnessed by the a director of CT Corporation, Donny Oskaria, and the VP of Development for AccorHotels for Indonesia and Malaysia, Rio Kondo.

“In recent discussions we have agreed on a strategic partnership. We will open 30 new hotels,” said Chairal Tanjung, who formerly served as the National Coordinating Minister for the Economy.

Chairal said the MoU with Accor Hotels is a natural outcome of the commitment by the Indonesian Government to grow the number of tourism arrivals, the development of infrastructure projects in support of tourism, and the growing purchasing power of the Indonesian public for travel products.

“We could not find a better operator of chain hotels than AccorHotels. AccorHotels is a well-known group of hotels and CT Corporation is known a lifestyle company. Our (shared) desire benefits all parties,” said Chairal.

Chairal estimates the proposed 30 hotels to be built in the coming years will have 6,000 rooms spread across a number of Indonesian cities

In response, Garth Simmons of AccorHotels said he is optimistic that the partnership between his company and CT Corporation will be successful and that 2018 remains positive year for tourism in Indonesia. Adding, “the economy continues to grow and the domestic market remains stable.”

CT Corporation
owns and operates The Trans Luxury Hotel in Bandung and The Trans Resort Bali. Chairal said the luxury Trans Brand would be retained and developed further in the future. He said  Trans Hotels are identified as a luxury product while plans are to develop mid-range and budget hotels with AccorHotels.

AccorHotels currently operates 23 different hotel brand worldwide.
